An opportunity has arisen to join this large listed business based in Perth CBD. Highly regarded amongst their competitors, they are continuing to grow and improve their reputation. This company has grown from strength to strength over the years gaining predominant market share and are now looking for a Payroll Manager to assist with their increase in staff. This role is responsible for the payroll function of over 1000 staff, your brief will be to manage and support the payroll function. 

  • Manage and motivation of a team of 4 payroll professionals
  • Running fortnightly payroll for 1000 paid employees
  • Management of the reporting process to Board, Senior management and HR department on both payroll financial information and payroll statistical information
  • Ensuring timely payment and reconciliation of payroll and year end payroll returns
  • Managing workers compensation
  • Undertaking ad-hoc projects and reporting as and when required
  • Working with Senior management team to drive forward development of processes and system development within the department
  • Develop international payroll growth strategy

Skills/Experience Required

  • 5-7 years payroll experience
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Business related tertiary qualification
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in relation to Payroll and Superannuation Law
  • Solution orientated and be able to effectively implement new or improved processes
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Experience with complex payroll issues & the ability to solve them 
  • Experience with Enterprise Agreements
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset
