The practice:

Drawing on over 60 years experience, they provide the following services to their clients: Taxation Advice, Superannuation, Business Advisory, Audit, Succession Planning, Business Valuations, Estate Planning and Wealth Creation.
The firm started with one partner, and just one staff member. Today they have a wealth of experience within their team of 4 partners and more than 40 staff in their office.
Their clients are predominantly small to medium sized businesses and a large percentage are family businesses. They are from a range of industries including: transportation; property & construction; real estate; legal and manufacturing.

The role:

Working closely with the Partners, you will use their high-level taxation knowledge to provide tax advice to their clients.

In addition, you will manage a portfolio of select clients providing tax and business advisory services, as well as supervising staff within your team. Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
  • Provide high level tax advice as required.
  • Manage and grow the day to day relationship with a range of clients, providing tax and business advisory services.
  • Manage their team members, including training, support, workflow management and budget reviews.
  • With the appropriate engagement from Partners and staff, develop opportunities for new products and services.
  • As part of the Management team, assist in operational planning & running of the practice.
About you:
  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Masters of Taxation preferred
  • Preferably a minimum of 10 years’ experience within a public practice accounting firm.
  • Technically strong, with an excellent depth of taxation knowledge
  • Able to supervise an engagement from start to finish.
  • Have a high level of commercial acumen, analytical skills and be solutions focused.
  • Exceptional communication skills & interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, a strong capacity to work autonomously and with demonstrated organisational & time management skills.
